All in-person programs, drop-in's and events hosted by the Town of Newmarket will follow all guidelines released by the Ontario Ministry of Health and York Region Public Health in addition to vaccination requirements set for by the Town as approved by Newmarket Council on September 22, 2021. Before entering any Town facility, participating in a Town program or attending an event, please familiarize yourself with access safety requirements (mandatory masks) and proof of COVID-19 double vaccination criteria, found here. Screening is conducted in person at all facility entrances and can be completed online as well. Effective November 1, 2021, proof of vaccination and identification will be required for all those age 12+ in accordance with Provincial legislation. Proof of vaccination is not required for children age 0-11. For medical exemption criteria, please click here. Group Fitness and Aqua Fitness require pre-booking. Welcome back! We are excited to once again offer a variety of Arts and Culture programs. We have a mix of drop-ins and short registered sessions available and look forward to offering a more traditional session this Winter 2022.
Important Dates and Information:
- Registration for Newmarket residents opens Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 8 a.m.
- Registration for Non-Residents Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 8 a.m.
- Pre-registration for all drop-in programs will be available 8 a.m. the Sunday prior to the week you wish to participate. I.e. Registration for the week of September 13 drop-in programs will be available Sunday, September 12 at 8 a.m. at play.newmarket.ca

Public Art Jury Selection
As the Town of Newmarket moves forward with their public art program; the Recreation and Culture department is looking for artists whom would be interested in participating occasionally on an art selection jury. Interested artists are invited to submit an expression of interest through an application process.
