Tomorrow, a temporary parking lot will open in downtown Newmarket in the location of the former Keith Davis Tennis Club. More than 130 new parking spaces have been added to help accommodate visits to Newmarket’s award-winning events and festivals like the Newmarket Music Series presented by TD Bank Group through the TD Ready Commitment, ensuring a strong environment for local businesses to succeed in the downtown.
These additional parking spaces have been added just in time for one of the busiest weekends of the summer with the York Pride Parade and the annual Fairy Lake Artisans Festival both taking place this weekend. The Town has also recently added 40 on-street parking spaces on Church Street (just west of Main Street).
Later this year, in the same location, construction on a two-level parking structure will begin, adding more than 200 permanent parking spaces. For updates on the construction, please visit HeyNewmarket.ca/downtownparkingstructure
