  • Town launches 2026 budget education and engagement campaign

    Created: Wednesday, October 01, 2025

The Town of Newmarket is once again encouraging the community to get involved in the budget process. The 2026 budget will be featured at the Farmers’ Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newmarket’s Riverwalk Commons (200 Doug Duncan Drive) this Saturday, October 4 to connect with the community and share information about the budget and future plans for the community. Residents are encouraged to play the ‘Town Trivia’ interactive game at the Farmers’ Market for a chance to win gift cards to local Newmarket businesses.

The goal of the 2026 budget is to continue to find the balance between keeping municipal taxes as low as possible, while investing in our assets, planning for the future and maintaining the high level of services that make Newmarket a top place to live in Canada.

    Get involved!

As always, it is very important to hear from residents as Council, staff and the community work together to shape the future of the community. Please have your voices heard by attending or watching the following meetings/public engagement opportunities. All meetings take place in the Council Chambers at 1 p.m. at the Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) and are streamed live at Newmarket.ca/Meetings.
