Newmarket is proud to announce the start of Phase 2 for the Mulock Multi Use Path (MUP) that will provide east-west trail connection for a wide range of recreational uses such as cycling, walking, jogging and wheelchair access. Once complete, the Mulock MUP will provide connection points to key destinations in Town such as the existing trails, schools and the future Mulock Property.
Phase 1 of the project, which ran from Bathurst Street to Yonge Street, included replacing sidewalks with a new multi-use asphalt path along the south and north sides of Mulock Drive. Work involved removing old surfaces, installing new paths, grading, planting, guardrail adjustments and sign relocations. This phase contributed to safer and accessible active transportation and connects to the future Mulock Park.
Disruptions:
There will be a single lane closure adjacent to the curb within the work zone from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All lanes of traffic will be open during the morning and afternoon peak traffic periods to limit disruptions to the public; however, some periodic traffic delays are to be expected.
