The final bill for your 2024 property taxes (residential and non-residential) will be mailed out in June and will be due in three instalments on July 26, August 26 and September 26, 2024.
New for this year! Non-residential and residential final property taxes will be due on the same dates in three instalments on July 26, August 26 and September 26, 2024. Previously, non-residential property taxes were due on different dates. This change was done to help improve consistency, equity and administrative efficiency.
Ways to Pay
For your convenience, Newmarket offers multiple ways to pay your property taxes. Pay on time to avoid any penalties. Payment is available through pre-authorized payments, in-person at a Town facility and by mail with a post-dated cheques. You can also pay through your local bank online, by phone or in-person at the bank. We also offer credit card payments online – please note there is an additional fee to use this service. Where do your tax dollars go?
Did you know, only 39.7% of your tax dollars goes towards the Town of Newmarket to pay for services such as fire and emergency services, Newmarket Library services, roads, bridges and sidewalks, community programs and events, facilities, parks and trails, waste management, by-law and licensing services and planning and development.
